A Boost
Boy, when you work for yourself it and from home it can be trying - that goes without saying. I especially have been finding it a bit lonesome, not having the social network of people in a workplace. Maybe I oughta go back to waitressing - it’s a great way to socialize and make money at the same time. I worked in bars and restaurants for 15 years.
So about once a week I phone my virtual assistant, Jaime, and she gives me a boost. Not only does she make me laugh but she also inspires me to keep going by offering a story or anecdotal evidence from her own experiences of boot-strapping and starting a company with two small babies at home.
I was her age when I first did that and recall the juggling, the answering the phone in the bathroom or closet, little sleep, feeling exhausted, etc. All because I felt that my purpose was to be at home with my babies and the only way to do that was to create a job for myself.
So, a boost was what I got today from a rare phone call to Jaime. Usually we communicate by email. I’d say learning about the virtual assistant world has been one of the best things that I’ve discovered in the past year.
Virtual assistants are experts in being efficient and whatever else they profess to do and be.
