Doc’s party/Chrissy’s benefit

Certainly the highlight of the evening - from my perspective - was Jake’s painting, Ted the penguin, sellingSold for $250 for $250. It had gotten an early bid of $100 so it started pretty high and I was determined to get it for my sister-in-law who desperately wanted it. It got a bit out of control when Paul MacNeill got carried away and I found myself wondering how I was going to pay for this painting when I recalled to myself that I had surreptitiously made copies at home earlier and so conceded to Paul. Private cooking demo and party

More good times were had in Victoria-by-the-Sea this past weekend at Chef Stephen Hunter’s beautiful inn and restaurant, the Victoria Village Inn.

Laura Lee Howard and a gang of friends came out for an Italian dinner which included wild mushroom risotto, pork loin wrapped in prosciutto stuffed with chevre and poached pears with mascarpone for dessert.

I served and had a blast.

My new tool works

So, Google Alerts sent me an email today and the first article was from the Canada Newswire titled:

Access to health care: Survey finds Canada is not a level playing field

And proceeds to give statistics confirming that PEI has the worst access to health care in Canada.

Another article mentioning Prince Edward Island is a regional newspaper talking about the survey and mentions PEI’s not-so shocking poor standing.

How many other newspapers and blogs are going to pick this up? I have Google Alerts on the look-out.

Hopefully not too many. This is an example of very bad VIRAL MARKETING potential, poor public relations and frankly, just all around NO good for Prince Edward Island.
