A Day in the Life: Spurts

I get genuinely excited for my clients, almost to my detriment. I am crushed if things don’t work out with them or for them.

I hadn’t talked to my virtual assistant in weeks just because she has been busy and I have been busy on lots of start-up projects. When we talked we joked that we missed each other so much that perhaps there was a bit of co-dependency going on. I *heart* my VA.

I’m unofficially the online advertising manager for PEICanada.com which is very exciting. We are launching it soon and as I said, I’m SO excited for my clients and all of the opportunities for the site.

BDC has taken me under their wing and I met with a prospective client last week as a marketing consultant. Today I stopped into a shop that I heard about to get my ink cartridges filled and the young man who was helping me and I got talking and it turns out he’s doing work with the BDC also and we chatted for about 15 minutes about different things we had in common as young entrepreneurs. He’s got a lot of exciting things going on.

This morning I met with CBC and had a tour of their studios. I met with their one of their ad guys who is excited to be working with me because they are transitioning to online and my expertise is interesting to them. It turned into a two hour meeting and the gentleman put on his entrepreneurial hat and told me all about his really interesting and hopefully how we can work together on projects in that capacity also, which is very exciting.

I’m set to film a commercial with CBC using a production company. My guy is going to talk to his peeps to see if we can get my commercial for online - my website, other online advertising that I’m doing, etc. That would be so great as they would love to use me as a pilot project to assist them in this direction that they HAVE to go in - online advertising, preferably using online videos and music. The possibilities are endless. Maybe I’ll get a jingle for marketing mavens… teehee.

How did you find your VA? I want a VA I can *heart*. If you don’t mind, how much is your VA?
