Island Boutique Holds $1 Sale in Support of Anderson House
(CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – MAY 6, 2008) People with a penchant for popular brand name clothing such as Abercrombie and Fitch, Gap, JCrew and Banana Republic should circle their calendars for the weekend of May 23rd. Lou Lou Clothing and Accessories located at 449 University Avenue in Charlottetown is holding an unbelievable sale on all items in their popular fashion boutique. Everything in the store, including clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories will be sold for $1 a piece or $10 to fill a large bag (provided) chock full.
The event will be cash and carry and is taking place May 23rd from 4:30-8pm and May 24th & 25th from 12-5pm. A portion of all proceeds will go to Anderson House, the province’s emergency shelter for women and children.
Lou Lou Clothing and Accessories owner Dennis Flemming has recently celebrated the shop’s two year anniversary. It was April 2006 when the first Lou Lou’s opened in a small shop on Water Street in Charlottetown. Since then, Lou Lou’s has outgrown two stores and is now housed in the former “Play it Again Sports” location in the University Plaza. The boutique is always stocked with unique, high quality new and used items featuring many American brands that can’t be found anywhere else in the region. Members of the Red Hat Society are familiar with Lou Lou’s and the shop’s offering of flamboyant red and purple dresses, stocked specially for them.
“I’m thrilled to be able to offer fashions and brand name clothing at Lou Lou’s that Islanders can’t find elsewhere,” says the shop’s owner, Dennis Flemming. “I hope that this sale will introduce some new people to the shop and what we have to offer while helping out Anderson House at the same time.”
